Daffodil Hills
Some views become part of you.
When I was living in Victoria, I’d climb to the top of the hill at the end of my street. The path toward the cliffs was scattered with daffodils growing wild, lining the way up like quiet markers of the season. At the top, the ocean would open up and the sunrise would spill over the water.
It became a ritual. A slow walk, yellow blooms at my feet, and light breaking across the cliffs. I carved this piece to hold onto that rhythm — that soft, early stillness that felt both grounding and fleeting.
Each print is hand-carved and hand-pressed in my Calgary home studio. Because every piece is printed by hand, subtle variations in ink and pressure make each one uniquely its own.
