Familiar Mount Kidd
Some mountains feel like old friends.
Mount Kidd is tied to a trip my friends and I have taken together for the past eight years. It’s a view we all know well. The kind you don’t need a map for anymore. Every time it comes into sight, it feels like arriving. Like laughter is just around the corner. Like stories are about to be added to the pile.
I carved this piece as a tribute to that familiarity — to the mountains that become markers of time, friendship, and return. The landscape hasn’t changed much, but we have, year after year.
Each print is hand-carved and hand-pressed in my Calgary home studio. Because every piece is printed by hand, subtle variations in ink and pressure make each one uniquely its own.
